今現在のメインシステムはMAC QUADであり、昨年発売日に購入以来、あの処理速度を体験してしまうと、もうWindows PCに戻れなくなり、新規に購入するソフトウェアも、WindowsよりもMAC OSX対応版をつい買ってしまいます。（例えばAdobe系）
私のMAC所有暦も２年前のeMACの1GHZの購入を初めに、それ以後はPowerMac G5ばかり、1.8GDual→2.7GDual→2.5GQuadと買い替えてきた（散財!!）のですが、この８月に発表されるであろう“MacPRO”とやらのIntelチップ搭載機に、よほど劇的なスピードメリットが無い限り、既存のMacOS用ソフトウェアへの相性や、値段の高さからいってもしばらく新しいMACへの買換えは無いでしょう。（こう言っていられるのも現物を見るまでか．．．いつも物欲に負けます）
プロユースMACのインテル化はXserveから始まるとの噂もありますが、次期MacProではPhotoshopへの対応が鍵を握る他、発売は早くても来年かと思われます。
